My friends and I went to the nearby village of Fiesole, Tuscany for lunch this past weekend – it was yet another charming Tuscan town (surprise, surprise – I know : ). The village is situated right on the top of the hills surrounding Florence so it has a absolutely killer view of the city!
I popped into Florence’s Miss Sixty store and splurged a litttttle too much on their new collection. I’ve been buying more and more black lately, which is so different from what I’d previously gravitate towards. I went in just to look, but somehow I ended up walking out of the boutique with a bag full of black leather, pleats and knitwear… Oh la la! I’ve already worn my “James Pullover” a few times and I’m in love!
When I arrived in Florence I quickly realized that my Mansur Gavriel backpack was going to be a little too high maintenance as an everyday bag. Don’t get me wrong – I’m still obsessed with it, I was just too nervous about pickpocketers and it wasn’t as easily accessible when I closed it all the way. Anyway, I started looking around for an easy cross body bag and I found myself deciding between two: the red Celine trio and the Ferragamo Gancio Shoulder Bag. Well, it’s pretty obvious that the Ferragamo won out in the end. It’s the absolute perfect run around the city and have zero worries bag. My favorite part? It locks! Wallah! The bag also was a better size for me (and my sunglasses…) and I loved that the top handle and detachable straps converted the bag into a feminine purse, top handle purse or cross body bag. The beautiful scarlet leather interior certainly didn’t hurt the cause, too…
