To tell you the truth… I wasn’t really into the whole mule thing at first. After seeing them reoccur in show after show they started to grow on me and now they made it to my “looks to love list.”
Why do I love them so much? Two reasons: they’re often pointed toe, which is oh so of the moment, and the fact that they lengthen legs. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want longer, leaner legs? Well, as it is heels tend to flatter your legs as a whole. The mules, however, do more because they cut off right below the ankles, which gives a more stream-line look. Sign me up! Plus, some of them, such as Manolo Blahnik’s are a cross between a booty so they’re the perfect weather transition shoe for those early spring days that are just not warm enough.
All three of these are splurge worthy, but the shoe that has never gone out of style is Gucci’s clog. They are an absolute classic that have been around for years. Don’t you just love when one pair fulfill two trends at once? Mules: check! Classic incorporation: double check!!
