Bonjourno!

I’ve been in Florence for 3 days and it already has my heart. The first day my parents, sister and I landed, Grace and I immediately wanted to explore. We must have walked around for over 2 hours… walking in circles with a map in hand – and yes, unfortunately we’re those tourists. But hopefully I won’t need a map for long.

Arriving with my family a few days before my apartment is ready and my program starts couldn’t have been better. I’m so glad I could familiarize myself my new, unknown city with the help of my family. All I keep thinking though is thank god I’m not getting on a plane to fly home in two days… suddenly 3 months doesn’t even feel like enough time to see it all: taste the food, learn the language, check out the museums and learn the culture. Oh, and then when you think about exploring all of the other Italian cities it quickly feels like a year would be a little more appropriate… but words can’t express how excited I am to spend my fall in such beauty.

I’ll be sharing my adventure here with you all, but for more timely updates check out my instagram and snapchat too!
