Throw away your tattoo choker necklaces from the 90’s…. theres a new choker in town! This new and improved choker is a mix between the statement jewelry and embellishment trends. This hot new accessory is perfect for those ensembles that just need one more thing. We all know that sometimes it can be hard to keep up with the never-ending trends in the fashion industry, but throwing on one of these is an easy way to update your outfit and be effortlessly on trend.
Why do I love this trend so much? I think it’s a fun way to add pizzaz to any night on the town outfit or even one for work. When dressing business appropriate it can sometimes be hard to incorporate your personal style and flare. By throwing on a choker you make your outfit more fashion forward, but you don’t lose the sophistication of your work conservative look.
I love the idea of going casual with this trend. For example, take the red Madewell choker (top right) and throw it on with an open denim button down, printed pants and a sun hat… is that adorably chic or what? Now we just need some spring like weather (too soon?).
Stay tuned for choker incorporation in future “My Journal” posts!
