Last weekend I met up with some friends from Villanova in the beautiful city of Munich, Germany. It was my first time traveling to Germany and I loved it! It could not be more different from familiar cities like Florence or New York, but it has it’s own charm, sophistication and culture that was easy to fall for.

Not surprisingly, we went to the Oktoberfest festival and had such a blast — dirndls and all (yes of course I wore one…) — but we couldn’t leave Munich without exploring downtown a bit too. When I travel to these new and exciting cities I try to find a unique and memorable gold charm to add to my charm bracelet. I started the bracelet upon arriving in Florence and so far I’ve collected charms from Cinque Terre, Positano and, of course, Florence. Since Munich was so foreign to me it was difficult finding a jeweler with gold charms, but finally we found the a tiny, little shop that had a perfect gold beer stein charm to add to the collection. I died — it was exactly what I was looking for!

Stay up to date on my Instagram to see where I’m traveling this weekend…
